On My Wishlist (23)

Cadence, JD, and Orlando couldn't be more different from one another. Under normal circumstances, the three wouldn't so much as say hi to each other if they could get away with it. Then an alien crashes through the roof of their local mall, and everything changes. Not only do the three teens gain new abilities, but they're also chosen to help fight in an intergalactic war where the next chosen battlefield is Earth.

Reluctant at first, they change their minds when the fight hits close to home. Teenagers from school start to go missing, and some are dead. Together they must learn to work together and solve the mystery behind these disappearances before more lives are lost.

Face it, long distance relationships in high school are hard, especially when the other one in the relationship is an alien. Alex Bianchi may have survived an intergalactic battle, but that still doesn’t excuse her from her senior year of high school, or qualify her for any sort of scholarship. To make up for college tuition costs, she takes a job at a local coffee shop. If only coffee could solve all of her problems.

As Alex’s senior year progresses, everything changes and she can’t figure out if it is interstellar or if it is just time to break up with an alien. 

Twelve teenagers were injected by The Doctor on that fateful day back in November. And twelve teenagers have been thrust into an intergalactic battle against their will. Orlando Holmes, JD Smith, and Cadence Sinclair must find these twelve before someone else does – someone bad.

Things get complicated quickly, though, when emotions start to run high. Those who used to be deemed trustworthy, are no longer safe. The three teens soon learn that anyone is a suspect. As they embark on their most dangerous mission to date, morals are tested. To protect the twelve teenagers who have been experimented on, what must JD, Orlando, and Cadence give up? Their hearts? Or even their lives?

I’m eagerly waiting for The Power of Nine (Lorien Legacies, #3) by Pittacus Lore.

Until the day I met John Smith, Number Four, I'd been on the run alone, hiding and fighting to stay alive.

Together, we are much more powerful. But it could only last so long before we had to separate to find the others. . . .

I went to Spain to find Seven, and I found even more, including a tenth member of the Garde who escaped from Lorien alive. Ella is younger than the rest of us, but just as brave. Now we're looking for the others--including John.

But so are they.

They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They caught me in New York--but I escaped.
I am Number Six.
They want to finish what they started.
But they'll have to fight us first.
